While there are a number of inflatable air bed manufacturers, we only carry air beds made by Intex and Aero. We feel that these two manufacturers have the best products on the market. Both manufacturers use puncture resistant, heavy gauge vinyl that's non-allergenic. They make excellent air pumps as the air beds generally inflate in about 60 seconds.

While we tell everyone that a queen air mattress is the size you should buy if you were to only purchase one air mattress, and we admit the twin is the handiest to take everywhere due to its size, we've found, (because we own many sizes) that we use the full size air mattress the most. The queen size is great for sleeping two people but it's a little big for seating two people, and after many, many hours of using air beds, we've found that we spend more time sitting on them than we ever do sleeping on them.

The original intention of the air bed was to provide extra sleeping space, but we use ours for extra comfort in all sorts of places. The full size air mattress usually becomes our sofa that we take everywhere. Picnics, church gatherings, the backyard; pretty much anyplace that we would like to have some extra seating. We use the outdoor model since the air pumps run on dual power.

If you need extra sleeping for two, get a queen size air bed. Emergency sleeping places for your small children that demands portability, get a twin size air bed. For all other purposes, we recommend a full size inflatable air bed.
